Dr. Patel is a highly dedicated chiropractor who is passionate about helping her patients live happier and healthier lives through adjustments and rehabilitation exercises. A native of New Jersey, Dr. Patel moved to Delaware three years ago after marrying her husband. She received her degree in Biology and Biomedical Sciences from Rutgers University and graduated from Northeast College of Health Sciences (formerly known as New York Chiropractic College) in Seneca Falls, New York, in March 2020.
Dr. Patel is committed to staying at the forefront of her field and has earned certifications in Foot Levelers, Myofascial Cupping, and FMT Basic Kinesiology Taping. She also utilizes ART (active release technique) in her treatment plans to provide the most effective care for her patients. What sets Dr. Patel apart is her unwavering commitment to lifelong learning and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in chiropractic care. My insurance company seemed caring at first but quickly turned their back on me. They were actually trying to pay me a couple thousand dollars to “settle my case”, when I hadn’t even seen a doctor. Finally, I was referred to Dr. Feeney and I was given an appointment the same day! Dr. Feeney and his staff were wonderful! I could feel that I was in the right place almost immediately.
I was examined, including X-rays, and I was sent for 2 MRI’S. My injuries were explained, and I started a treatment program which was really great. I received regular evaluations and my treatment was modified. Dr. Feeney also referred me to an excellent medical specialist, and together they provided great care.
Additionally, I was also given a list of a few attorneys who were felt to be good matches for me. Now, I tell everyone I know who’s been injured in a car accident to see Dr. Feeney and Physician’s Plus!
I hurt my back at work, and I was told that I had to go to P.T., which I did. At P.T., I was given exercises to do, but they only seemed to make me worse. I was told that I had strained my back, and I needed to go back to work right away. When I went back to work, my pain started to go into my legs, and I just couldn’t do it anymore. I was told about Dr. Feeney and made an appointment at Physician’s Plus. After an evaluation, I was told that I was having weakness in my legs and sent for an MRI of my lower back, which showed 3 herniated discs (2 of which were determined to be from my injury). I did see a spine surgeon, who told me to stick with Dr. Feeney and come back in 6 weeks if I wasn’t better. My treatment plan at Physician’s Plus was really great. I had a special type of lumbar traction called axial decompression as well as a certain type of high-powered laser, which quickly stopped my leg pain. I was also put on a great therapy program, in which the therapist worked with me one on one. I was told that it was extremely important to get my back stronger. My employer even commented that he liked the communication with Physician’s Plus and I’m sure they were happy that I didn’t need surgery. Thankfully, I am back to work today and doing well.
I am blessed to work as a professional dancer in productions throughout the world. While I love my profession, it can be extremely physically demanding. Over time, I began to develop various injuries which began to become more and more problematic. My job does allow me to have access to many top doctors, but no one seemed to be able to really help to provide more than temporary relief. During the Covid Epidemic, the entertainment industry was essentially shut down. While this was disappointing, I figured that the rest would finally allow my injuries to heal, but instead, they seemed to just linger. I found it difficult just to keep up with my training. It was during this time that I finally met Dr. Feeney. I was immediately impressed by the way that he took my career very seriously and was able to accurately diagnose my injuries and set up a very specific treatment plan, which quickly helped me to begin to feel better and before too long, I was able to return to my vigorous training. Soon, the world opened back up and I was back on a worldwide production of West Side Story. It felt great to not have to deal with the nagging pains. Today, I am living in Manhattan and whenever I have a problem, if it can’t be handled by our trainers and/or therapists, I am sure to get back to see Dr. Feeney!
